After reading astrology for years, I came to the conclusion that, more I study and research this, the more I learn new things from this Cosmic Science. This study has led me to forsake much of my ego and I have come to understand that we all are governed by the planetary forces. I have understood that astrological planets are energies which govern our destinies based on their movement in the heavenly sky. Its these energies which affect our day to day lives. However, there are more to the story than what is written here. Let me introduce here the word Nakshatras.
Now the question lies as to what are Nakshatras? The ancient story goes that Nakshatras are the twenty-eight daughters of Daksha Prajapati. The King wanted Lord Moon to marry all his twenty-eight daughters. It was proposed that Lord Moon have to stay with one wife each day and would cross over to the next. However, after few days special preference started for the Wife Rohini, which made other wives jealous. Seeing this, the wives reported the injustice to their father King Prajapati. The king got angry and cursed Lord Moon. A curse activated negative aspects for the Lord Moon and he started suffering. Seeing his pitiful condition, his wives went to King Daksha once again and he gave his sermon that this curse cannot be taken back and that Lord Moon would die and will be reborn every month and hence we see the waxing and waning of the Lord Moon. Another story goes that Lord Ganesha, cursed Lord Moon and after seeing his terrible condition, he returned back his blasphemy with waxing and waning of the Moon every month.
As days passed, these Nakshatras brightened up in the cosmic sky and as the ancient sages used to say that these Nakshatras is of length 13 degrees and 20 minutes and that the sky is divided into 27 Nakshatras. The 28th Nakshatra is rather small and is known as the Abijit Nakshatra. These Nakshatras are again divided into three cycles of nine and are ruled by 9 planets. These cosmic planets are Lord Sun, Lord Moon, Lord Saturn, Lord Venus, Lord Mercury, Lord Jupiter, Lord Rahu and Lord Ketu. The Lord Moon placement in a Nakshatra forms the basis of ones Nature and the reason for which one is born.
When a human takes birth, it’s all about one’s pure soul and it’s all about us and our surroundings. Slowly, as the soul transit in years, the thought process gets blocked and is not able to deliver as per the life’s path and the human forgets the reason as to why the soul was born in this planet Earth?
The soul starts moving towards that word ‘I’, ‘Me’ and ‘Mine’ and hence creates a false ego in his/her domain and cannot get out of that circle. Here comes the great role of the Swati Nakshatra, which is all about: ‘FREEDOM’. Yes, you need to be free from all these afflictions, forsake your ego, your small world and look beyond the skies and appreciate the Universe and its energies for which, you have been sent to perform some specific task in this world.
Swati or Svati Nakshatra’s lord is Vayu (Wind), the pranic force for which we all can breathe and exist. All species can exist because of the wind as we all need air to breathe. So, these nakshatra provides you energy to breathe in a free air and hence the ‘freedom’. The term Swati also means sword and hence it can be used for both positive and negative reasons. Vayu is the lord which have drank the nectar for eternity and is much evolved and hence being the Lord of Swati, these make Swati Nakshatra humans much more understanding and allows them to find real motivation. However, these Nakshatra people need to forsake their egos and understand their true self.
Understanding one’s true self is very essential as these nakshatra tries to serve millions through their deeds on higher good and that’s where the satisfaction comes from. Since this Nakshatra is ruled by Rahu, it creates a revolutionary soul. By that I do not mean that it’s a soul which creates a mass revolution, but revolution in terms of ideas, thoughts, activities which can serve higher good. Since Swati falls in Libra from 6 degree 40 minutes to 20 degrees, its very far away from the Sun. So, by that Swati people have to leave their own egos, me, mine nature so as to succeed in this birth. That’s what makes this article very special to me as this is the place where the rays of the Sun are very less and one need to go deeper to understand one’s existence.
The colour represented by this Nakshatra is black, which is again a beautiful colour as everything on this universe is created from darkness. Black is also the colour of the Yama and that means, this nakshatra people can understand better the meaning between life and death. Some says that Lord Hanuman, was born in this Nakshatra. His devotion for Lord Rama is so great that he is now worshipped as one of the Lords for his exemplary skills, talents, intellect and devotion. That’s the point which I wanted to make here. This nakshatra humans are very focused in their work and if they can pursue the same with complete devotion, miracles happen with them. The motivation factor for these nakshatra is material gain but it comes to them through their work. So, though Artha is something which they want, they receive the same through their excellent service for the masses.
Entrepreneurship skills also needs devotion and determination. Hence, it’s the energy of this nakshatra which is required to make one successful. Let your work and your service be your motivation and you keep moving on with your agenda of providing unique service for higher good. Know that everything started from darkness and that your work is going to bring light, where there was none. These can only happen, when we forsake ego. Life is beautiful only if we understand the reason of our existence.
This is all from me in this article. Hope you have liked my personal thoughts and opinions.
