Ishta Devata is the term in Hinduism for a worshipper’s personal preferred deity. In English Language, I just out of my own thought named the same as ‘Guardian God’.

It can be a celestial deity whom one always focuses on. The celestial deity becomes one’s guardian in all circumstances.
